“We continue to pray for the election of a president. How can a parliament consider vacuum as being the possible option and election to be impossible?” al-Rahi added, in his Sunday Mass sermon.<\/p>\n

“If MPs don’t rebel against themselves and elect a sovereign president, the people must not be blamed if they rebel against them,” al-Rahi said.<\/p>\n

“The failure to elect a new president would be an act of sabotage to undermine the main post,” the patriarch warned. — Naharnet<\/p>\n
