Caretaker Minister of Information, Ziad Makary, on Monday confirmed in the wake of the cabinet session that discussions tackling transportation and productivity allowances for public administration employees had been postponed \u201cpending clear numbers from the concerned authorities,\u201d adding that the cabinet has approved granting teachers 5 liters of gasoline.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Makary also announced the approval of an advance to the benefit of \u201cOgero\u201d employees; however, he noted that items 2, 3 and 4 on compensations have been postponed.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Moreover, Makary stressed that the Council of Ministers had also approved the request of the High Commission for Relief to complete the inspection of the cracked buildings by municipalities and requested an advance to cover the expenses.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The Information Minister finally confirmed that the Council of Ministers had also approved the appointment of assistant professors and full-time professors at the Lebanese University \u2014 an item that wasn\u2019t on today\u2019s agenda.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
