In a statement on Sunday, Farajat said a total of about 502, 000 visitors flocked Petra since beginning of 2023, according to official statistics, expecting the number of tourists visiting this archeological site to reach about 700,000 to mid-2023. Farajat added that the number of Petra visitors last April reached 146,687, including 126,373 foreigners, 3,356 Arabs, and 14,052 Jordanians.
