A New Truce Enters Into Force In Sudan

The Sudanese army announced its agreement to a truce for a period of 24 hours, starting from six o’clock in the evening, local time, and ending at six o’clock in the evening, tomorrow, Thursday.

The announcement of the armed forces came with the aim of facilitating the humanitarian aspects, provided that the other party adheres to the armistice’s limitations.

The General Command of the Sudanese Armed Forces announced, earlier, that elements of the Rapid Support Forces attacked a number of sites in the vicinity of the command, and the attack was repelled and heavy losses were incurred.

The Sudanese Armed Forces also confirmed, earlier, that they agreed with the United Nations proposal to open safe paths for humanitarian cases.

Earlier today, the Rapid Support Forces also announced their agreement to a new truce to stop fighting for 24 hours with the army.

The truce comes at a time when fighting has intensified between the two parties, despite the existence of a previous truce agreement, mediated by international powers.
