Beirut: Sheikh al-Aql of the Druze community, Dr. Sami Abi al-Mona, addressed attendees at an ecumenical meeting in Martyrs’ Square, focusing on the importance of unity and partnership for Lebanon’s future. During his speech, he expressed a collective hope for the salvation of Lebanon and the surrounding region, emphasizing the need to embrace national partnership as the foundation of shared life.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Abi al-Mona highlighted Lebanon’s potential as a model of “diversity in unity.” He conveyed this message while addressing Pope Leo, emphasizing that the Pope’s visit serves as a call to transcend intolerance and extremism. Abi al-Mona urged for the voice of peace to prevail over the discord of wars, signaling a commitment to national solidarity and peaceful coexistence.
