ABOU FAOUR SAYS CABINET FORMATION OBSTRUCTION EQUIVALENT TO A WAR CRIME

Member of the Democratic Gathering, MP Wael Abou Faour, said that “obstructing the formation of the government amounts to a war crime committed against the citizen by those who impede its formation,” describing them as “criminals”.

“The issue now falls in the realm of morals and not politics, for the citizen is no longer concerned with the war of powers, conflicts, statements and counter-statements that some politicians are distracted by…All he wants is to obtain his daily sustenance, his medicine, and the basics of his livelihood,” Abou Faour emphasized in a meeting with the cadres of the Progressive Social Party’s youth organization in the area of Hasbaya in the South.

“Some politicians live in their own world, not caring about the suffering of the Lebanese in all regions, and this is an utmost immoral act,” he added.

Abou Faour asserted that PSP has no has demand pertaining to the government but simply that it be formed. “We are no longer concerned with ministries and digital accounts in view of the horror of the citizen’s suffering,” the MP maintained.

On a different note and touching on the continued closure of the “Hasbaya Governmental Hospital”, Abou Faour urged the Minister of Health to activate and reopen it to the people of the region, revealing that “Progressive Socialist Party Chief has refused to be involved in the process of naming a hospital administration and has called on those concerned to choose an efficient administration far from any political criterion.”
