The spokesman for Al-Sadiqun bloc Deputy Chairman of the Strategic Planning and Federal Service Committee in the House of Representatives, Muhammad Al-Baldawi, revealed today, Monday, that the next stage of evaluating government performance will witness the dismissal of governors and undersecretaries of ministries, in addition to a new batch of directors in ministries.

Al-Baldawi said, according to a statement by the bloc: “The committee, in the evaluation criteria, is in constant contact with the Prime Minister’s office directly and the government committee concerned with that process.”

He indicated: “The evaluation is divided into several sections, the first according to the initial vision and evaluation of the Prime Minister and his ministerial program and what he was able to implement in terms of efforts and initiatives through the administration.”

He added, “The second section is related to evaluating the ministers and their ministries separately, while highlighting their capabilities in implementing the government program, and then this program is fully reflected in the ministerial curriculum,” noting: “The third section is related to evaluating the governorates and governors, which is the largest and most important stage in terms of the administrative independence of the governorates, as they are local governments.

He continued: “Local governments are the closest to providing services to citizens, and the amounts allocated to them are from the development budgets of the regions or from various programs such as the Reconstruction Fund, the World Bank, international organizations, petrodollars, and even from the stabilization program,” pointing out that “they are large sums, and this is apart from the investment sums that reach these provinces through the ministry.”
