Agriculture Minister, Dutch Envoy Discuss Long-Term Agricultural Partnership

Beirut: Agriculture Minister Nizar Hani met Dutch Ambassador Frank Mollen to review the outcomes of the minister's recent visit to the Netherlands and discuss implementing a long-term cooperation program.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the talks focused on launching the Lebanese-Dutch Partnership for Agricultural Innovation and Investment 2027-2031. This initiative aims to strengthen cooperation in agricultural innovation, investment, research, digital transformation, water management, climate resilience, education, governance, and public-private partnerships.

The two sides also discussed establishing a joint platform to coordinate projects, mobilize funding, and support sustainable agricultural development. Ambassador Mollen reaffirmed the Netherlands' commitment to expanding cooperation and supporting Lebanon's agricultural sector.
