(Al-Kabeer) discusses with the British ambassador several issues, the most important of which is consultation with the International Monetary Fund.

The “Al-Siddiq Al-Kabeer,” Governor of the Central Bank of Libya in Tripoli, discussed today with “Caroline Hurndall,” the UK Ambassador to Libya, many issues, the most important of which was consultation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and continued cooperation with international parties and institutions.

The bank stated that the meeting, which was attended by the economic adviser to the embassy, “Simon Field”, dealt with enhancing the disclosure and transparency program and the Central Bank’s efforts to raise the capabilities of commercial banks.

He also touched on the need to encourage the role of the private sector in moving the wheel of the economy and the importance of the return of British companies and their contribution to reconstruction.
