Beirut: Minister of Energy and Water, Joe Saddi, announced today on his “X” account that his primary focus since assuming office has been the implementation of the regulatory authority as stipulated by Law 462. This law, which has been pending for 23 years, is crucial for regularizing the energy sector and advancing the reform projects he is committed to. Saddi stressed the importance of enforcing existing laws before considering any revisions.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Saddi also addressed the scheduling of update workshops on the law, set for May and June of the following year. He clarified that these workshops are not in opposition to the regulatory body’s responsibilities but are necessary to ensure that the sector’s laws remain current and adaptable to new developments.
