Tripoli: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, and Interior Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Al-Hajjar have taken immediate action following the building collapse in the Bab al-Tabbaneh neighborhood of Tripoli. They have been actively receiving updates on the progress of debris removal and rescue operations.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun has directed all emergency services to fully engage in the rescue efforts and ensure that residents of the collapsed building, as well as those from neighboring buildings evacuated as a precaution, are provided with temporary shelter.
Public Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine has also intervened, ensuring that all individuals injured in the collapse receive medical treatment at the Ministry's expense. He has been closely monitoring the rescue operations since the incident occurred earlier today.
