Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Wednesday welcomed President of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, Sheikh Bader Mohammad Al-Saad, at the Presidential Palace.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Sheikh Al-Saad expressed the Arab Fund’s intention to be the first Arab institution to provide Lebanon with immediate aid and loans to support its recovery efforts. He mentioned that a technical and advisory team is currently based in Lebanon to evaluate potential projects. The Arab Fund is collaborating closely with Lebanon’s Council for Development and Reconstruction to study and implement these initiatives.

When questioned about Kuwait’s stance, Sheikh Al-Saad affirmed that the relations between Kuwait and Lebanon have always been positive and strong.
