Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Friday welcomed French Ambassador to Lebanon, Herv© Magro, at Baabda Palace. The ambassador conveyed holiday greetings to the president and the Lebanese people. Talks focused on current priorities, notably preparations for convening a conference to support the Lebanese Army and armed forces, agreed upon during the French-American-Saudi meeting held in Paris on December 18.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the meeting also addressed Lebanese-French relations, Paris’s support for the Lebanese government’s reform agenda, and efforts to extend national sovereignty across all Lebanese territory through the implementation of government decisions.

Separately, President Aoun honored CMA CGM Group Chairman and CEO Rodolphe Saad©, awarding him the National Order of the Cedar, Officer rank, in recognition of his contributions and commitment to business leadership and community engagement. Saad© thanked the president, reaffirming CMA CGM’s commitment to Lebanon and its global objectives.
