Beirut: MP Georges Okais, representing the Sovereign Front, met with President of the Republic Joseph Aoun to express support for the president's recent position on state authority over national matters. Okais emphasized the importance of the state's exclusive right to negotiate and determine the nation's future.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Okais strongly supported Aoun's stance and the government's efforts, highlighting the need for unity against intimidation tactics. He identified Hezbollah's arms as a significant barrier to the state's authority.

Okais further stated the importance of solidifying the ceasefire and ensuring that only state institutions are armed. He also called for enhanced border control, effective anti-smuggling strategies, and judicial actions against lawbreakers.
