Beirut: President of the Republic Joseph Aoun met with Defense Minister Major General Michel Menassa to discuss the current security situation across Lebanon, focusing on the southern regions and the Lebanese Army's operations in those areas. The meeting aimed to assess the Army's needs, which will be presented at a preparatory meeting in Paris on Thursday, preceding the international conference dedicated to supporting the Lebanese Army and Internal Security Forces.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun also held discussions with MP Najat Saliba. Saliba condemned Israel's actions of killing, displacement, and destruction of villages, homes, and infrastructure. She emphasized that confronting such actions requires national unity and urged for solidarity around the president, government, and state institutions. Saliba highlighted that unity is essential for making decisions related to defense, negotiations, and political and legal actions, as divisions weaken Lebanon and provide Israel with a pretext for continued aggression.

In another meeting, President Aoun consulted with MP Ihab Matar, focusing on development issues concerning Tripoli and North Lebanon. Matar commended Aoun's efforts in safeguarding Lebanon's interests, consolidating sovereignty, and addressing citizens' concerns, especially through his engagement both regionally and internationally. Matar also noted that the adoption of the general amnesty law had delivered justice to many individuals who were previously treated unfairly.
