Beirut: Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Tuesday received Iranian Foreign Minister, Dr. Abbas Araghchi, at the Grand Serail. Minister Araghchi extended an invitation to Premier Salam on behalf of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to visit Tehran.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized Iran’s desire to open a new chapter in its relations with Lebanon, focusing on mutual respect and non-interference in each other’s affairs. In response, Premier Salam expressed Lebanon’s commitment to maintaining strong bilateral relations with Iran, emphasizing mutual respect, sovereignty, and independence to bolster security and stability in the region.
Minister Araghchi highlighted the importance of enhancing trade and economic relations between the two nations. He underscored the necessity to eliminate barriers to investment and trade exchange, aiming to foster stronger economic ties.
