In an issued communiqué by the Lebanese Army Command – Orientation Directorate on Sunday, it indicated that “on August 22, 2021 at 3:00 a.m., a unit of the army stopped the citizen (M.M) at the Al-Madfoun checkpoint for driving a car without legal papers, who was accompanied by five others, whereby a quantity of narcotic pills (about 200 grams) and 4 kg of hashish were found in their possession, in addition to a forged amount of money (one million and 300 thousand Lebanese pounds and 200 US dollars).
The communiqué added that a quantity of cannabis and narcotic pills were also found in the possession of two of the detainees, with initials (S.J.) and (M.Ch.).
The arrested persons were handed over, along with their confiscated materials, to the concerned sides and investigations were launched under the supervision of the judiciary, the communiqué concluded.
