Army Chief and EU Ambassador Discuss Regional Developments and Lebanese Military Support

Beirut: Lebanon's Army Commander General Rodolphe Haykel, on Friday, received European Union Ambassador to Lebanon Sandra De Waele, along with Colonel Jan emlicka, the Military Advisor to the Delegation of the European Union to Lebanon, at his office in Yarzeh.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting centered on the latest developments in Lebanon and the broader region, as well as strategies to bolster support for the Lebanese army. Ambassador De Waele commended the Lebanese Army's role in maintaining the country's stability and security, emphasizing the European Union's commitment to ongoing support for the military institution.

General Haykel expressed gratitude for the European Union's consistent support, acknowledging the challenges faced by the Lebanese Army and the importance of international cooperation in addressing these issues.
