Beirut: In an issued statement by the Lebanese Army Command's Orientation Directorate this afternoon, it indicated that its units implemented immediate security measures in the Kafa'at area of Beirut's southern suburbs following gunfire during a funeral procession on Sunday. These measures included raids, armored patrols, and temporary checkpoints.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, military units raided the homes of those involved, arrested one individual suspected of opening fire, and seized weapons and ammunition.
The confiscated items were handed over, and the detainee was referred for investigation under the supervision of the concerned judiciary, while efforts continue to track down the remaining suspects.
