Beirut: Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior announced on Saturday the arrest of what it described as a “main organization” linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), according to reports by Sky News Arabia.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, in a statement published by the Bahrain News Agency, the ministry said security investigations and intelligence reports, along with previous probes conducted by the Public Prosecution into cases involving espionage for foreign entities and support for what it called the “Iranian aggression,” led authorities to uncover “an organization linked to the IRGC and the ideology of ‘Wilayat al-Faqih’ (Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist).
The ministry said 41 individuals belonging to the alleged core network had been arrested and that legal procedures against them are underway. It added that search and investigation operations are continuing to identify and take action against anyone found to be involved in the organization or in activities violating the law.
