Barrack: US Special Presidential Envoy to Syria and Iraq, Thomas Barrack, affirmed that the occupied Syrian Golan Heights belong to Syria under UN resolutions and international law, according to "Russia Today".

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Barrack made these remarks in an interview with 'Clash Report', which was published on Saturday on the X platform. Barrack emphasized that "The Israelis continue to occupy the Syrian Golan Heights in violation of UN resolutions and the international order, which stipulates that the Golan belongs to Syria."

His comments underscore ongoing international tensions regarding the status of the Golan Heights, a region that has been a point of contention between Israel and Syria for decades. Barrack's statement aligns with longstanding UN resolutions that recognize the territory as Syrian, despite Israel's control over the area since 1967.
