Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri held a series of diplomatic meetings on Monday at Ain el-Tineh. The day began with a protocol visit from the new Danish Ambassador to Lebanon, Mette Thygesen, marking her initiation into her diplomatic mission in the country. This meeting served as a platform to exchange views on Lebanon's current developments and reinforce the bilateral relations between the two nations. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Speaker Berri subsequently welcomed Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon, Murat Lutem, who extended an official invitation from the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmus, for Berri to visit Turkey. Their discussion centered on the unfolding situation in Lebanon, with a particular focus on the field developments in light of Israel's ongoing attacks, especially in the southern regions. Ambassador Lutem characterized the meeting as highly productive and reiterated Turkey's continued support for Lebanon. In a separate engagement, Berri met with French Justice Minister Gérald Darmanin, alongside an accompanying delegation, which included French Ambassador to Lebanon, Patrick Durel, and Speaker Berri's Advisor, Dr. Mahmoud Berri. The discussions delved into the situation in Lebanon and the broader region, emphasizing the bilateral ties between Lebanon and France. Additionally, Speaker Berri received an invitation from his Pakistani counterpart, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, to visit Pakistan.
