Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri met with Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain El-Tineh to discuss the political environment and current field developments as Israel continues its attacks on Lebanon, particularly affecting the southern regions.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, Speaker Berri also held discussions with Minister of Information, Attorney Paul Morcos. Their conversation covered general developments and media-related affairs. Minister Morcos emphasized the ongoing reform process within the media sector, particularly amendments to the new media law that aim to advance these reforms. He assured that there is a consensus on coordinating with relevant parties to sustain these efforts.

In another meeting, Berri welcomed Lebanese Press Syndicate Dean Aouni Al-Kaaki. Their discussion focused on media-related issues, including observations from the media sector, Press Syndicate, and Editors' Syndicate on the new Media Law and its proposed amendments. The dialogue aimed to address these concerns and further the reform process.

Separately, Berri engaged with MP Hadi Abu Hessen from the "Democratic Gathering" bloc. Their talks revolved around the general situation and political and field developments amid Israel's ongoing aggression. They addressed the destruction of villages, towns, and essential facilities in the South and the tragic events in Kfar Rumman, Deir al-Zahrani, Ansar, and Arab Salim, alongside national and legislative matters.
