Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri on Thursday engaged in talks with UK National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain El-Tineh. The meeting was attended by an accompanying delegation and British Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamish Cowell.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, discussions during the meeting centered on the general situation in Lebanon and the broader region. They also addressed field developments amid Israel's ongoing attacks on Lebanon and the southern areas, alongside exploring bilateral relations between Lebanon and the United Kingdom.

In addition to his meeting with Powell, Speaker Berri reviewed the latest developments and evolving situation with former minister George Kordahi. Furthermore, he held discussions with Lebanon's Ambassador to France, Rabih el-Chaer, to assess the current geopolitical landscape.
