Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri convened with a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain al-Tineh. The IMF delegation was led by Ernesto Ramrez Rigo, with the IMF’s Resident Representative in Lebanon, Frederico Lima, and advisor Maya Choueiri also in attendance.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Speaker Berri subsequently engaged in talks with MP Jihad Al-Samad, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Defense, Interior, and Municipalities. Their discussions centered around the ongoing political and field developments, particularly in response to Israel’s continued aggression against Lebanon. Other topics included the parliamentary elections and related preparations, alongside various legislative matters.
Further discussions with MP Al-Samad addressed development conditions in Lebanon’s North region, specifically the city of Tripoli. This included efforts to implement practical measures for dealing with buildings at risk of collapse in the area. In addition to these meetings, Berri received Bader Al-Kharafi, Founder and CEO of BNK Holding, at Ain El-Tineh.
