Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Tuesday afternoon received at Baabda Palace a delegation from the Druze Mashyakha (Mashyakhat al-Aql), including Sheikh Gandhi Makarem, Advisor to the Druze Sheikh Akl, Sheikh Fadi Al-Attar, and Mr. Raed Al-Najjar. The delegation conveyed to the President the greetings of Druze Sheikh Akl Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna along with his wishes for President Aoun’s success in “leading the country’s rescue efforts and consolidating sovereignty across all Lebanese territory.”

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the delegation handed President Aoun an invitation from the Druze Mashyakha and the Druze Sect Council to attend the Iftar banquet to be held at the Druze community house in Verdun on Friday, March 6, on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan.

Separately, President Aoun received a delegation from the Chouf Merchants’ Association, chaired by Elie Nakhle, who briefed the President on the current conditions and challenges facing the commercial sector in the Chouf region. The delegation also voiced support for President Aoun’s efforts in fulfilling his oath speech.

On the other hand, President Aoun promulgated the 2026 State Budget Law, which was approved by Parliament and issued as Law No. 40 dated 10 February. The law was referred to the Official Gazette for publication according to the proper procedures.
