Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri on Thursday engaged with a ministerial delegation from Qatar, France, and the United Kingdom at the second presidency headquarters in Ain El-Tineh. The delegation included Qatar’s Minister of State for International Cooperation, Dr. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, the French Minister Delegate for Francophonie, International Partnerships and French Nationals Abroad, El©onore Caroit, and the UK Minister of State for International Development, Jennifer Chapman. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassadors of Qatar, the United Kingdom, and France in Lebanon, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Hamish Cowell, and Herv© Magro, respectively.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, discussions centered on ongoing developments in Lebanon and the broader region, particularly focusing on the impact of the Israeli war on Lebanon. The conversation addressed multiple levels of concern, including humanitarian, social, health, and economic challenges. The issue of displaced persons was also a significant point of discussion, with talks on how to support Lebanon in managing these pressing challenges.

Separately, Berri met with former Education Minister Judge Abbas Halabi and the Head of the Lebanese Democratic Party, former Minister Talal Arslan, in the presence of former Minister Saleh al-Gharib. The discussions reportedly focused on the latest political and field developments, as well as the evolving national situation in Lebanon.
