Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri held a series of significant meetings at the second presidency headquarters in Ain el-Tineh. Among the key visitors was Dalia Khalifa, the newly appointed World Bank Regional Director for the Middle East, who was accompanied by a delegation. The purpose of their visit was to mark Khalifa's assumption of her new duties.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting with the World Bank delegation included discussions on the Bank's ongoing programs and projects in Lebanon, with a focus on reconstruction efforts. World Bank Group Country Manager for Lebanon, Enrique Blanco Armas, also attended the meeting.

In another meeting, Berri engaged with Defense Minister Michel Menassa to discuss the current situation within Lebanon's military institution. The talks also covered political and field developments, particularly in light of ongoing Israeli attacks, demolitions, and destruction in southern Lebanon and the Western Bekaa region. These developments include the burning of agricultural and forested areas, which have been a point of concern.

Additionally, Berri met with a delegation from Inter Mediate, a British non-governmental organization specializing in conflict resolution. This meeting is part of ongoing efforts to address and manage conflicts in the region.
