Berri Extends Christmas Greetings, Calls for Unity and Love

Beirut: Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, on Wednesday extended Christmas greetings to all Lebanese, particularly Christians, on the eve of the holiday. Speaking from what he described as places symbolizing faith and resilience, from near the Church of the Nativity in Palestine to St. George Church in Yaroun, Berri said Christmas reaffirms life, love, truth, and hope in the face of destruction and hatred.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, Berri expressed hope that the occasion would embody Pope Leo XIV's recent message to Lebanon, urging unity across communities. Quoting the Gospel of Matthew, Berri stressed that division leads to ruin, concluding that love and unity are the path to saving and protecting Lebanon.
