House Speaker Nabih Berri received, at his Ain-el-Tineh residence on Wednesday, Indian Ambassador to Lebanon, Suhel Khan, with whom he discussed the current general situation and the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Berri later met with Deputy Speaker Elias Bou Saab over the latest developments and an array of legislative affairs.

He also held talks with First Deputy of the Central Bank Governor, Wassim Mansouri.

On a different note, the Speaker cabled Pope Francis to whom he offered condolences on the passing away of former pontiff Benedict XVI.
