Beirut: House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Wednesday held a series of meetings at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain el-Tineh, addressing key political and sectoral developments.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Berri met with Telecommunications Minister Charles Hajj to review the general situation, focusing on the telecommunications sector and the damage it sustained as a result of the Israeli offensive. Hajj briefed him on ongoing efforts by ministry teams to repair infrastructure across affected areas.
The Speaker also received Murad Wehbe, Acting Executive Secretary of United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia, on a farewell visit marking the end of his mission in Lebanon.
Finance Minister Yassine Jaber updated Berri on the outcome of his recent visit to Washington as part of the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, alongside discussions on broader developments.
Among other visitors was Public Prosecutor Judge Jamal Hajjar.
