Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri on Tuesday met Prime Minister Nawaf Salam at Ain El-Tineh, where they discussed political and security developments, Israel's continued violations of the ceasefire, and ongoing demolition of homes in occupied villages in southern Lebanon. The talks also covered the outcome of Salam's recent visit to Iraq with a ministerial delegation.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, separately, Berri met Speaker of the United Arab Emirates' Federal National Council Saqr Ghobash, in the presence of UAE Ambassador to Lebanon Fahad Salem Saeed Al Kaabi. The meeting focused on developments in Lebanon and the region, parliamentary cooperation, and bilateral relations.

Berri also met General Security Director General Maj. Gen. Hassan Choucair to review the country's overall situation, particularly security developments.
