Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdullah Bou Habib, on Friday said during a joint press conference with his visiting Iranian counterpart, Hussein Amir Abdullahian: “Abdullahian has shared Iran’s keenness on Lebanon’s stability, especially the importance of holding a successful presidential election.”
Bou Habib also stressed Lebanon’s mutual keenness on Iran’s stability, and its utter refusal against any foreign meddling in the internal affairs of other countries.
In turn, Minister Abdullahian stressed that “Iran will always and forever remain a loyal friend of Lebanon’s — in good times and bad times alike,” pointing out that cooperation between Iran and Lebanon reflects positively on the best interest of both peoples.
“A Lebanese technical team visited Iran and met with those concerned to secure fuel that Lebanon urgently needs for electricity,” Abdullahian added.
