Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdallah Bou Habib, received the Regional Director of the World Bank, Saroj Kumar Jah, and they discussed technical cooperation projects between Lebanon and the World Bank in the fields of energy, social safety net, and resorting to alternative energy in public institutions, namely hospitals and public schools.

Discussions also touched on the agreements being implemented to secure gas and electricity from Egypt and Jordan.

Conferees stressed the “necessity to carry out the required reforms in the electricity sector and to improve the distribution and collection process.”
