Cabinet Convenes in Baabda to Address Lebanese University Professors’ Status

Baabda: The Council of Ministers met for its regular session at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Baabda Palace, chaired by President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun. Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and the ministers were in attendance.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, prior to the session, President Aoun and Prime Minister Salam engaged in a bilateral meeting to assess the current general situation in the country and discuss the latest developments. The Council of Ministers proceeded to deliberate on the latest political, security, and humanitarian developments, alongside routine administrative matters.

A significant agenda item was the issue of granting full-time status to contract professors at the Lebanese University. The council also considered various appointments and other urgent matters requiring immediate decisions.
