CARETAKER INDUSTRY MINISTER DISCUSSES PSDP PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION WITH UN’S BEIGBEDER

Caretaker Minister of Industry, George Bouchikian, on Wednesday met with the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Lebanon, Edouard Beigbeder, with discussions reportedly touching on the course of the implementation of the Productive Sector Development Programme (PSDP), joined by six United Nations affiliated units along with the Ministry of Industry.

The project deals with creating job opportunities and developing prospects in the food industry, with a focus on supporting women in rural areas.

It is to note that the programme is funded by Canada, and implemented by the UNIDO, FAO, the United Nations Development Program, the International Labor Organization, UNICEF, and the United Nations Women Organization.
