CENTRAL BANK GOVERNOR DENIES NEWS ABOUT SUSPENSION OF CIRCULAR 161

Lebanese Central Bank Governor, Riad Salameh, on Tuesday issued a statement dismissing all the news being circulated by news and social media outlets about a decision by the Lebanese Central Bank to suspend circular 161 soon as “untrue”.

The statement confirmed that Circular 161 would continue to be an active service for an unspecified time on the Sayrafa platform, as usual, without any modification.
