Beirut: Minister of Culture Ghassan Salam© inaugurated the “Artistic Forum of Colors” exhibition at the Sadr Foundation’s Asil Center. The event was attended by a notable assembly including Mrs. Marie Boghossian Salam©, the President of the Sadr Foundation Mrs. Rabab al-Sadr, Member of Parliament Fadi Allameh, the former Director General of Social Affairs Mrs. Nemat Kanaan, and the Director of the Asil Center Mrs. Maliha al-Sadr, among other diplomatic, cultural, and social figures.

According to National news agency – Lebanon, Mrs. Maliha al-Sadr opened the event with a welcoming speech, expressing gratitude for Minister Salam©’s presence despite his busy schedule. She emphasized the unifying power of art and the shared appreciation for fine art that brings people together with a single voice and united stance.

Minister Salam© delivered a speech reflecting on the emotional impact of the exhibition. He noted the resilience depicted in the artists’ works, a resilience born from enduring hardships and facing challenges with hope. The vibrant artwork moved him, as did the spirit of the Asil Center, which is dedicated to supporting children with special needs. Salam© highlighted the center’s embodiment of generosity through time, attention, and kindness.

Salam© further connected his emotional response to the legacy of Imam Musa al-Sadr, whose photograph was prominently displayed. He recalled personal encounters with the Imam, describing him as exceptional in both presence and absence, inspiring his followers to continue his mission through various supportive actions and institutions.

Ms. Maliha al-Sadr also expressed her appreciation for the Minister’s participation, reiterating the center’s commitment to supporting families and children with special needs towards fostering an inclusive society.
