Beirut: Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salameh, has announced a decision to waive entrance fees for visitors to the National Museum, Beiteddine Palace, and all state-run archaeological sites in celebration of Lebanon’s National Heritage Day. This annual event is observed on the third Thursday of May.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the initiative is part of the Ministry of Culture’s broader efforts, through the Directorate General of Antiquities, to promote public engagement with Lebanon’s rich cultural heritage. To mark the occasion, all affiliated museums and heritage sites across the country will welcome visitors at no charge on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, May 14, 15, and 16, during official working hours.
In addition to free entry, several sites are set to host cultural and educational activities designed to raise awareness and foster appreciation for Lebanon’s historical legacy.
