Culture Minister: Time for Security Council to Implement Resolution 1701

Beirut: Minister of Culture Dr. Ghassan Salam© wrote on the “X” platform: “It’s time for the Security Council to implement Resolution 1701, which was issued two decades ago, and for the countries that drafted the November 2024 arrangements to enforce their respect by Israel, which has been violating them since day one and continued its violation yesterday.”

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Dr. Salam© emphasized the importance of adherence to international agreements and urged for immediate action to address ongoing violations. Resolution 1701, which was designed to bring stability to the region, has not been fully upheld, leading to continued tensions.

Dr. Salam©’s statement highlights a call for accountability and a push for international bodies to ensure compliance with resolutions meant to maintain peace and order. The minister’s remarks reflect ongoing concerns about the enforcement of agreements and the role of international institutions in conflict resolution.
