Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, inaugurated the second round of the “Environmental Summit” under the slogan “Climate Change”, which is being held as part of the activities of the seventh edition of the International Photography Festival “Exposure 2023”, at the Expo Center Sharjah.

A group of world’s leading photographers who are famous for their work and exhibitions dealing with issues and efforts to protect the environment are partaking in the summit, sharing their technical and practical experiences.

During the opening ceremony, a short film was shown about the destruction of the earth’s environment as a result of wars and overexploitation of forests, the increase in carbon emissions and the spread of pollution that affects the seas, oceans and land, and the increasing environmental damage caused by factory emissions and human practices that harm life and threaten the safety of various creatures on the planet. the earth.

The opening of the “Environmental Summit” witnessed a number of the most famous photographers specialized in protecting the environment from the participants in the International Photography Festival “Exposure”, who presented in the seminars and discussion sessions of the summit inspiring ideas about the effects of climate change on various regions such as the Arctic, Antarctic, caves and glaciers in the European Alps, and the importance of raising awareness of societies and providing practical solutions to address the risks of climate change.
