Beirut: Grand Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian, hosted several prominent Lebanese figures at Dar al-Fatwa, focusing on significant national and regional matters.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, MP Faisal Karami was among the visitors, engaging in discussions on various Lebanese and Arab issues with Mufti Derian. The meetings underscored the ongoing dialogue between religious and political leaders in Lebanon.
Mufti Derian also conferred with MP Walid Al-Baarini, who highlighted their conversation about the situation in Akkar. Al-Baarini emphasized the critical need to complete municipal and mukhtar elections across Lebanon’s governorates. He noted the elections’ fraternal, familial, and political nature, all aimed at serving the public and advancing local development. Al-Baarini commended the government and security agencies for their pivotal role in the elections’ successful execution and expressed optimism for the swift implementation of promised reforms.
Additionally, former Health Minister Dr. Firas Abiad visited Mufti Derian to discuss public affairs and other national developments, further illustrating the Mufti’s commitment to engaging with diverse political leaders on pressing national issues.
