Minister of Economy and Trade, Amin Salam, started Monday an inspection tour in various regions to take a closer look on the private power generators and meet with their owners.

Speaking to reporters, the Minister said the tour will include all region, including the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Salam indicated that his ministry was receiving daily complaints from citizens unable to pay their power bills. However, he underlined that resolving the electricity conundrum is not up to his ministry.
