Education Minister Chairs First Meeting of Curriculum Implementation Oversight Body

Education minister:ducation Minister, Rima Karami, on Monday chaired the inaugural meeting of the Curriculum Implementation Oversight Committee, marking the start of work on implementing Lebanon's new national curriculum.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the 20-member body, comprising representatives of key educational institutions and independent experts, discussed its mandate, governance structure, and implementation mechanisms. Karami stressed the need for coordinated planning, institutional cooperation, and adherence to a clear timetable to ensure successful implementation.

Members also reviewed the committee's role in developing educational, technical, financial, and legal standards, teacher training plans, pilot phases, evaluation mechanisms, and funding frameworks, while approving the agenda for the next meeting and preparatory steps.
