Education Minister Tours Nabatieh Schools, Vows Support Amid Security Pressures

Beirut: Education Minister, Dr. Rima Karami, on Monday toured schools in the Nabatieh region, accompanied by members of her advisory and media team. Karami’s first stop was Kfar Rumman Second Public Intermediate School, where she met with local educators and students. Discussions focused on the impact of ongoing Israeli aggression on students’ mental well-being and academic performance.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Karami then visited Hassan Kamel Al Sabbah Public High School, where she emphasized the resilience of southern students. ‘I came to say I am with you, not just as a minister, but as an educator,’ the Minister told students, adding that the education sector is Lebanon’s front line of defense.

Karami acknowledged the hardships of preparing for official exams under current conditions and assured students that the ministry is working to accommodate their needs. ‘We will design exams that reflect your reality and uphold academic standards,’ Karami said, pledging continued support and follow-up.
