Beirut: Education Minister, Rima Karami, on Friday chaired the regular meeting of the Trust Fund for Education (TREF) with representatives of the European Union, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, and UNICEF. The meeting focused on reviewing the progress made during the 2025-2026 academic year, which included efforts in student sheltering, continuity of learning, remote education, school reopening, support centers, and digitalization.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the ministry also presented its 2026-2027 education strategy under Vision 2040. The strategy emphasizes priorities such as inclusive education, infrastructure, digital transformation, and governance. Donors at the meeting expressed their readiness to support the ministry's plans, which include the reconstruction and rehabilitation of damaged schools.
