Beirut: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced the closure of all public and private schools, as well as vocational and technical institutions, on Tuesday due to the current security situation. The ministry emphasized the decision was made out of concern for the safety of the educational community and stated that daily assessments of the situation would be conducted in coordination with relevant authorities.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the ministry expressed its inability to receive citizens and individuals with appointments for certifications and equivalency requests on Tuesday due to security conditions. Minister Dr. Rima Karami condemned the attacks targeting Lebanon, expressed solidarity with displaced families, and offered public schools as part of the national response plan to provide shelter to those affected.
The ministry urged the educational community to adhere to its directives and wished safety to all Lebanese citizens.
