NNA – The Palestine Committee of the Arab Parliament will hold an emergency meeting, headed by Arab Parliament Speaker Adel Abdulrahman Al Asoomi, upcoming Tuesday, May 18th, to discuss the Israeli escalation in Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip and all the occupied Palestinian territories, which resulted in dozens of victims and injured due to the barbaric shelling by the Israeli occupation forces.

Conferees will address the necessary measures to adopt an Arab and international position and practical steps to stop the Israeli violations and put an end to the crimes that represent a blatant violation of international legitimacy resolutions and a flagrant challenge to the will of the international community.

It is expected that the meeting will come out with a number of important recommendations and decisions with the aim of supporting the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, most prominently the establishment of their independent state, with Jerusalem as its capital.

The Committee’s recommendations are to be raised to the Arab Parliament in its emergency session scheduled for Wednesday, May 19th, to discuss the systematic violations by the Israeli occupation authorities in the occupied city of Jerusalem, their storming of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and their repeated attacks on the Palestinian people.
