Fake Threat Call Sparks Panic in Saksakiyeh, Turns Out to Be a Prank

Saksakiyeh: The National News Agency correspondent reported that the town of Saksakiyeh in the Tyre district witnessed a state of security alert and tension after a household received a phone call containing a vague threat, which caused concern among residents.

According to National News Agency Lebanon, security forces immediately launched an investigation upon receiving the report, only to later discover an unexpected surprise: the source of the threat was merely a ‘prank’ made by someone joking with his friend.

Although the incident turned out not to be serious, it stirred widespread discontent among locals, especially amid the ongoing security tensions in the region. Many residents called for tighter monitoring and accountability for those who engage in such ‘irresponsible’ acts that spread fear and anxiety.
