Beirut: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Youssef Raggi, on Monday welcomed Yasser Abbas, special representative of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, accompanied by Palestinian Ambassador Mohammed Al-Assad, in a holiday courtesy visit. The meeting provided an opportunity to review Lebanese-Palestinian relations, the situation of Palestinian camps in Lebanon, and developments in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, in a separate meeting, Minister Raggi received Ecuadorian diplomat of Lebanese origin Yvonne Baki. Baki briefed the minister on her potential candidacy for the post of Secretary-General of the United Nations and requested Lebanon's support for her bid.
